There are some great rigs shown here. My father lives up in Red Springs, NC has anybody had a chance to shoot some pictures there yet.

I'm hoping someone can help me out with some information on this rig. Spring Lake in Cumberland County bought this 1949 ALF 100' ladder in the late 1980s and sold in the early 1990s. It was obviously refurbished with a 2nd axle at some point but no one know the full history of where it came from, who refurbed the rig or where it went after Spring Lake got rid of it. Any help on the history of this truck would be appreciated.

Very interesting ALF tandem conversion...I'm anxious to see if anybody comes up with a history on it.
Looking at the rear axle spread, this aerial appears to be very similar to or it was Grand Rapids, MI's 1947 ALF model 7-100-AEO, reg. number 9038 with additional compartments and cab modifications.
There are 4 photos of this truck in Larry Phillips' book ALF 700 Series Photo Archive Volume 2.
