Production of the MB ended in 1978.  Were there no dataplates/stickers in the cab?  Depending on the actual year, there should have been Howe or Grumman ID, as well as a Mack plate under the dash.

My Sutphen list shows that both Sutphens have 1750 pumps, can you confirm?

There were no stickers or data plates anywhere on that truck to speak of, 3 of us climbed all over it trying to find the build plate.. there wasn't even a Howe tag on it, I only know it is a Howe because Patrick commented on the picture on Facebook LOL.

Information was obtained from the driver who pulled everything out, having said that I defer to your knowledge on this.. if you show 1,750 pumps than I am going to go with that!

Mechanical engineers build weapons, whereas civil engineers build targets.

When the man at the door said," Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms", I, naturally assumed it was a delivery!

Thanks a bunch Tim, I knew someone would have the record on it with the official information... this piece is currently for sale if anyone is interested.  They are looking to get $16,000 out of it, includes hard sleeves and generator.

Ridge-Culver never had a white fire truck, It does look like one that Malta Ridge NY had though.

This is the first rear door dash engine I can remember seeing that is not a top mount pumper.

Quote:The excitement for the weekend though came in the form of Syosset's antique, when Syosset sold this piece the first time it went to York New Salem, Pa and than onto Snowbrush, WV. It was found in a warehouse and Syosset obtained it back and is starting the process of restoring it.

Potomac Heights in Charles County, Maryland had a 1991 Pierce Dash, E71, 1250/500 that I believe they recently sold to Newburg, also in Charles County.
