9-19-2015 Las Vegas, NV TPC Golf Club Maintenance Shed Fire

At around 10:27 am this morning Las Vegas Fire and Rescue was paged out for a structure fire at the TPC Summerlin Maintenance facility, 1750 N. Rampart Boulevard. Rampart Blvd and Vegas Drive. Before I left the house I heard the first couple of Engine Companies let fire dispatch know that they had a working fire and that there was a heavy smoke condition in route. 


As I was sitting and waiting for a green light at Charlston and Valley View this is what I saw to the North-West of my location.  








Heading West on W. Charleston I saw this about three miles down the road.

It took me about twenty minutes to get within walking distance to the fire. At Rampart Blvd and Vegas Las Vegas Metro Police had it closed down to keep the area open for Fire Vehicles. So I parked in a Park parking lot and walked the rest of the way in, which was about a half a mile.

Before the Police opened up Rampart Blvd I was able to take these pictures from the West Side of the Stree. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue members at the fire. They were checking to make sure the fire did not pose a threat to the surrounding Apartments and Condo's.

I took these pictures and submitted them to the Las Vegas Review Journal and 8NewsNow our newspaper and one of our Television Stations and the Review-Journal picked up four of five of these pictures for the online article about the fire.



These are the last for now all I will post a few more in the morning. Have to be into the slavepit at 7 am.

Las Vegas Fire Engine 45 at work on the collapsed structure with their deck gun. As I was heading to the fire I heard Command call defensive operations only. I missed getting some good shots of Truck 43 with water flowing from the Tower by about ten minutes. But there was still a lot to see when I got there.
