Two questions...what year is Urbandale 411? Also, who staffs the IA State Fair Fire Department?

Urbandale 411 is a 1996 E\-One custom with a 1500 GPM pump and is scheduled for replacement during 2016.

 

As for the State Fair Fire Department, if memory serves, members from Des Moines Fire staff it.

Ankeny is the last Des Moines suburb for now.  Ankeny operates out of two stations, though all these photos were taken at Station 1.  Most of their rigs have an Ankeny number, as well as a Polk County number.

 

Ankeny 141/1151 is a 2000 Freightliner/Toyne tender, 2000 gallon tank as well as quick dump capabilities on both sides.

Ankeny 163/1171 is the rescue truck, a 2004 ALF which carries most of their extrication equipment.  It has a 600 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm pump.

Ankeny 132 is a 2011 Pierce Aerial 100' platform ladder.  It has a 200 gallon tank and a 2000 gpm pump.

Ankeny 125/1131 is the first out engine at Station 1.  125 is 2003 ALF which carries 750 gallons of water and has a 1500 gpm pump.
