Quote:Baltimore Co. Engine 57 Is this the one that had the middle axle added on later? Trav!
Travis- Mill Twp. Fire Dept. Marion, IN.
Yes it is, here's a shot of it as it was delivered, it was later determined that there was serious weight issues which is why the 2nd rear axle was added

Quote:Baltimore Co. Engine 57 Is this unit in quarters by itself? I'm just wondering why it's designated as an engine company instead of a ladder company. I didn't realize Balto Co. had any quints. Quote:Baltimore City Not a fan of the PUC engines. I am a fan of that 50 on the grill. MD has a great design for a state flag.
Fassy, It is in a quarters by it self "NOW" when 1st purchased it was assigned Station 57 and shared quarters with The Cardox Unit "Chemical" because of Bethlehem Steel ,thats the reason for the quint Apparatus but since its purchase The Steel mill has closed. Station 57 is now The FRA "Fire Rescue Academy" there has been rumors in the past to relocate this unit but so far that's all its been Rumors. Hope this helps with your question

Ah, okay. So E-57 (Quint) is assigned to the FRA and the FRA is also known as Sparrow's Point? Or is Sparrow's Point assigned a different station number?
