On Saturday around 2:15 PM a fire alarm sounded for a fire in the Annapolis Yacht Club in downtown Annapolis, MD.
It was reported from a worker that an artificial Christmas tree caught fire on the top floor.
Within minutes heavy smoke and fire was showing and the first arriving units asked for a second and third alarm at once.
Units from Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and the US Naval Academy fought the blaze for about 5 hours until it was declared under control.
Two firefighters received minor injuries.
Most of the fire was knocked down when I arrived, but heavy smoke churned from the roof and eventually broke through.
