Currently it is supposed to be complete the week of the 4th of July. So after inspection, I would guess it will be toward the end of July that it gets to Forsyth. They will have it for about a month mounting equipment for us. The fun part is hoping the new station 1 is complete before they deliver it to us! It will be close.
Actually, there are two light bars on the cab roof, set at slight angles, in a wide V shape. They are quite close together, so at the angle I took the shot from, they appear to be one bar.
This past Friday, I met up with Andrew and Micah at Charlotte, NC Fire Station 17 at the Charlotte - Douglas International Airport for four days of hunting fire apparatus. We had planned to meet at 10:30, but there were delays, with Micah getting stuck in traffic, two apparatus we wanted being at a training session, and Station 17 responding to a gas leak somewhere on the airport. We finished up just in time for lunch.
Since we finished up right at noon and didn't want to interrupt lunch at our next stop, we decided to take a break and have lunch ourselves. While we were eating, it began to rain and appeared that it would continue for a while. We saw blue sky to the west, so plans were changed.
