Dr. Stinebaugh, This is a Miller-Meteor body on BCCR's ambulance. You can tell by the unique corner "meteor" lights that were made by M-M and only placed on their units.

CFD started their EMS service in May,1977, and had some members do ride-alongs with Baltimore City FD ambos to gain field experience prior to the start-up date. CFD now has paramedics on all ambulances.

Rescue 1 was a 1975 Ford E-350/Braun, shown here responding from the HQ built in 1977-78.

This was Rescue 2, a 1976 Ford E-350/Braun. It is shown squeezed into the old CFD Central station, razed in 1979.

This style was prevalent thru the 80's and 90's for CFD ambos; 1990 Ford E-350/Medtec. CFD EMS units were now known as "medics".

The latest style of medic for CFD is this 2001 Freightliner FL-60/Horton. CFD now maintains a fleet of 4 medic-ambulances,of which 2 are usually manned, and the other 2 can be activated in minutes, using personnel cross-trained from CFD engine and aerial tower companies.

This is Mobile County EMS in Mobile County,Alabama.This is a '00 E450 Wheeled Coach.Was part of a three truck buy.This is the last of this stripe combo that was used since their beginnings till this year.This unit is run by volunteers in the Seven Hills area in the western part of the county.
