Engine 4 is now assigned the Pierce Velocity which was previously Engine 1.

And, the Pierce Dash previously assigned as Engine 4 is now Reserve 4.

Still plugging away is this Pierce Lance, running as Reserve 1.

Quint 7 has gotten a paint job since I last photographed it several years ago.

And finally, the original Rescue 1 is now in reserve as well, here at a training burn.

They are working on specs for a new rescue as well.

Mitchellville is a town of about 2200 in eastern Polk County.  The all-volunteer department runs five rigs including two ambulances which transport.

 

The first-out ambulance is 5780, a 2009 Ford F650 with a Cummins diesel, body by Medtec.

The second-out ambulance is 5781, a 1997 Ford F350.

5745 is a 2001 Kenworth by Pierce, 1000/1325.

5725 is a 2013 Ford F550.  Built by Blanchat, this is an ex-demo and is model B-5R Chaparral, 500/250.

Second-out engine is 5740, a 1985 Ford 800 by Smeal, 1000/500.

Morley is a small town of 115 in Jones County.  Morley has four apparatus, three in service and one antique. 

 

The old pumper is a 1993 International/Simon, 1250/500.

None of Morley's trucks are numbered.

Morley's grass truck is a 1990 Dodge 250 Power Ram, with a home-built skid unit.  The truck is owned by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and is on long-term loan to Morley.
