Grimes, IA, in the newly-formed Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department, took delivery of a new Pierce last year.  A stop was in order on New Years Day for a few photos.

 

Also, Polk County has begun a new numbering system for all departments in the county, moving from four digit truck numbers to three.  The last of three numbers describes what the unit is:
