Canton Engine 8 is a 2000 American Lafrance Eagle 1500/750

Rescue 1 is a 2011 Spartan Metrostar/Rescue One

Tower Ladder 1 is a 2005 Seagrave Marauder 100 foot

Tanker 20 is a 1999 Freightliner FL80/4 Guys 500/2000. As we were leaving the station, the skies opened up and we caught a pretty good thunderstorm on our trip to the next stop.

We got a bust at our next station, DeKalb Junction, so we continued on to RIchville where they were waiting for us. The guy that was there, remembered me from 22 years ago when I was last through there, which was kind of cool!

 

Richville Engine 12 is a 1996 International 4900/American Eagle 1250/1000. This rig is being replaced in the fall with a new engine currently being built.

The clouds were playing with us here. Engine/Tanker 10 is a 2005 Freightliner M2-106/Central States 1500/1800/30

Rescue 28 is a 2011 Ford F350/CET PP/250

Rescue 8 is a 2003 Ford F550/Seagrave Canada

Our next stop was at Gouverneur, where we had been told that someone was going to try to meet us.  We got there and no one was there. We hung around for a few minutes and then a couple of firefighters came in for another reason, not to meet us.  They were skeptical of what we wanted to do, until I pulled out the photo album again. Then every rig came out for pics! Again, carrying the photo album around really helps open doors!

 

Gouverneur run from a single station. We had major issues with the clouds here. Heavy overcast with the occasional spot of sun.

 

Engine 17 is a 2014 Pierce Impel 1750/1000/50

Engine 18 is a 2002 HME 1871P/Smeal 1500/1000 and the clouds were heavy at this time.

Engine Tanker 101 is a 2009 International Workstar/4 Guys 750/2000

Tanker 6 under the clouds is a 1994 International 4900/Local 300/2000

Tanker 14 is a 1995 International 4900/Local 300/2000

Rescue 4 is a 2001 International 4900/4 Guys

Rescue 7 is this recently acquired 1996 GMC 3500/Horton , still to be lettered.

Rescue 75 is this 2010 Ford PP/200/20

Truck 2 is this 1992 Pierce Lance 105 foot rearmount ladder, refurbed 2010, ex Lancaster, PA

Got shut out at the next 2 stations, although we never did hear back from either during the planning for this trip. These were really off the beaten trail, Edwards Fire Dept and Fine Fire Dept. We did manage to find this brush truck from Edwards outside at a repair facility, no other info.

The last department that was on our schedule  was Star Lake, also off the beaten path. Again, the sun and clouds didn't really cooperate here.
