Building Fire with tankers galore-300 Kingstown Rd Hope Valley RI-7/29/18
#1
Around 0830 on 7/29/18, I received a page that Hope Valley, RI was working an outside fire with extension to a building.  I figured it was small brush and nothing more.  Since it's about 40 miles from the house, I didn't think it would be worth the ride.  As the morning went on, more and more tankers were being special called and I finally decided to take it in at about 1130.

For a city boy like me, tanker shuttles, especially of this magnitude, are foreign to me.

The fire was in the Meadowbrook-Waldorf School, a large 1 and 2 story wood frame building approximately 400 X 100.  I arrived aboout 4 hours into the job.  Companies had been pulled out early due to collapse conditions inside.

that's it for this job.  85 degrees with high humidity made for a very long day for these guys.  They're still there as of the posting of this thread and will be for quite a while. I got a ton of apparatus as well, which I will be posting In the Rhode Island thread soon
