A single new truck in added to the fleet in 1968, a tanker for Station 5. This 1968 Ford is added to provide improved protection due to the number of large new homes being built on larger lots, outside of the urban areas.

Former Tanker 3 becomes the first reserve tanker, with Station 8 becoming home to the spare tankers. If the spare tanker is in the station, the volunteers at station 8 also use it as a second tanker for fire calls.
