Rescue 1
Fictional Department History
|
1997 is a banner year for the department as it opens its new state of the art training centre. This centre is also used as a regional training station for multiple departments.
Of note, the department proudly displays its first piece of firefighting apparatus, the 1926 Seagrave, old No. 1, which still attends various parades and events.
Included with the training centre is a new, multi use training tower complex, which includes several different building types for training.
Engine 21 is assigned this 1997 Pierce telesqurt. The department introduces a new graphics package with this delivery.
Former Engine 21 is reassigned to the Training Centre as Training Engine 1
With the opening of the training centre, this 1997 Ford replaces the 87 van. Used to transport equipment to off site training locations, this unit can also double as a technical rescue unit.
A "new" unit for the department is this 1980 GMC transit bus, acquired form the transit service, to be used for transporting staff to off site training. An additional use is to rotate crews for shift change during fires and other long term incidents. A scaled down version of the striping package is applied. Credits to Deviantart.
The final unit purchased in 1997 is this Ford mini pumper for Brush 8
