As many of you know, the Fulton County, GA Fire Department no longer exists. Beginning in 2006, portions of the County were incorporated into new cities or annexed into existing cities, reducing the department from 22 stations to 10 stations. Two years ago, the remaining parts of the County were incorporated into the City of South Fulton. All remaining apparatus were re-lettered to reflect this, but this apparatus is the first purchased by the new City.

Sometimes they hide them and you don't even find out about their existence until they are old! This rig spent almost all of it's career at Station 4, in the extreme southwestern part of the county, almost at the Alabama line. It was recently moved to Station 5 and I "found" it late last Saturday afternoon. The sun was already well behind the trees, so I vowed to return, which I did yesterday.
