Structure Fire-Bridgeport, CT-Rainbow Rd-5/1/22
#1
I was down in NYC for a few hours on Sunday and on my way back I noticed a loom up north of I-95 while travelling through Bridgeport, CT.  I commented on it and my wife asked "are you going?"  I hopped off the highway, turned around and started toward the smoke.

While estimating where the fire was, I got off the highway.  As I was on the exit ramp, Bridgeport Engine 10 went by.  I followed them into the scene.  The fire was in a 1-1/2 story Cape style building at the top of a hill that had required very long feeder lays (1/3-1/2 mile.)  The companies had knocked the fire down by the time I walked up, but I managed a few shots.

I would like to add that I am still finding new ways to be impressed with the Sony A7 III. These photos were taken with ISO settings between 12,800 and 25,600 using aperture priority. The photos were taken after dusk and the sky was much darker to the naked eye than these photos make it appear.
