Thus ended the SPAAMFAA meet.  Mike and I returned to Meriden and attended a classic car show that evening.  The plan was to spend the next three days in Connecticut photographing apparatus, but the weather forecast called for rain almost the entire time.  After taking Mike out for a sit-down breakfast Sunday morning, I headed west towards my hometown, Dunkirk, NY.  The forecast was accurate, if not understated.  Thirty MPH on the Interstate, wipers on high, 4-ways on, only able to see the car in front of me when his 4-ways blinked on....  I passed through White Lake, NY on the way.  They have white/blue apparatus, one of which was sitting along the side of the road with the lights on, but I could barely see it due to it raining so hard.  The rain finally let up about the time I hit Binghamton.  As I passed between Waverly, NY and Sayre, PA, I decided to try to shoot the blue/yellow pumper in Sayre.  Not locating a driver stopped that plan, but I did get their rescue truck, a remount of an unknown body onto a newer chassis.
