After returning to Georgia, I took another trip down to Bulloch County and Evans County to get more of their fleets, along with Metter Station 2, which is located in Pulaski, GA. It turned out to be an interesting day, adding 15 rigs in spite of most of my plans/arrangements falling through. It turns out that I have shot this one previously at two other departments. I shot it back in 1987 at Paulding County, GA and then later at Cobb County, GA.

After completing Evans County, except Engine 21 that was in the shop, I still had most of the afternoon left with no planned targets. I decided to go to Vidalia, since I had not been there in several years. When I got to their first station, the bays were wide open, the Knocker I shot years ago was sitting in the otherwise empty bays and not a soul was to be found. I waited a bit, but no one showed up. I went to find the other station and again, bay doors wide open, a 75' E One quint sat inside, but no one there. I waited some more. I listened to radio traffic from the station speaker, but nothing that told me where they were. No smoke in the sky. I tried again at the first station, but still no one there. By then, I had been in town over an hour. I gave up and headed to Swainsboro. When I got to their station, it was closed up, vacant, abandoned. Calling "Tech Support" (my son), I obtained the address of the new station, only a few blocks away. It is a shared station with Emanuel County, with several apparatus from both departments.
