Here's a topic I started some time ago with some older Chelsea apparatus: http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/index....&hl=chelsea

As far as Engine 2 goes, I hope so for the sake of the firefighters, that thing is getting tired. It was an emergency purchase, originally Pierce demo. It was brought to Winthrop to be shown off not too long before Chelsea bought it.

It's been out of service for repairs for nearly a month...Last November it was speculated that the new chief would have to buy a new engine soon along with a new ladder...And the city already had an HME pumper on hand in January for an evaluation, probably need only look at Boston...all signs pretty much point to this being Engine 2's last spring in Chelsea.
I hope it at least gets back in service long enough to fight one more fire, it's earned that final bit of glory before it is sold or traded in for the new engine...
HeHe! Our "engines" do look funny with all that aluminum on the roof! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Mike, I'm glad you said it! I was biting my tongue and not saying a word after getting a roasting from another DFD brutha not so long ago about bashing my old department. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stretcher.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
