There are a total of nine Atlantic ambulances now. Technically the Peabody, Lynn, and Saugus bases are all under Atlantic with one truck being at Stoneham. The P47 which is the Saugus 911 truck is lettered Cataldo due to the fact that Cataldo has the contract. However P47 is dispatched by Atlantic, and back up coverage for Saugus is provided by Atlantic. Atlantic's trucks are dispatched out of the Peabody base. Cataldo employees can pick up Atlantic shifts and vice versa, although technically the uniforms are different.

It isn't the first time around here that this has happened. Brewster bought out Reardon, and operated it as it's own company around 1990. George Brewster told me it was strictly a leverage decision, as it gave him more options when bidding on contracts.

North Canaan, CT's new Ford/PL Custom - placed in service just a few days prior to this shot taken on 4/21/07. Their 4x4 Type I is sitting out in front of the ambulance barn up for sale if anyone is interested I'll get more info. North Canaan runs 2 I-level rigs and according to the member I was talking to about 600 calls a year. Paid day crews and vollys at night & weekends.

We haven't given Barnsey a permission slip yet to leave Lynn so we still need him to pick on .... I mean we still need him to provide quality BlS for the fine citizens of Lynn....
