DFW depends on what city. Most of the cities respond their own MICU medics with the FD, but some, such as Ft Worth and smaller cities surounding it use MedStar, which is a semi private company. I have some pics of them, and will try to get them uploaded tomorrow.

Here is DFW Airport DPS Medic. At the airport, the ems is its own division now under DPS, all running out of the new station 5 right in the middle on the south side of the terminals. They usually staff between one and two trucks, and have a third spare, as well as the new Pierce Trauma/ Mass Casualty truck.

Medic 602's old unit, I believe this is the spare still.

and last, DFW Airport DPS Station 5. The right side is strictly EMS, the left houses Quint 55 and the Comand Post. Absolutely awsome station, and thanks to all the guys there, always a great time.

Its a copy called MEDSTAR. I dont have any pics of them, but they have been around for a while in the Ft. Worth area. They also contact out with a few other communities in the Tarrant County area.

Is that a new style tail light cluster? If so is it exclusive to WC? Different looking to say the least. Thanks, Neal Craig

Neal,

That is the new "standard" Wheeled Coach rear light cluster that includes a large LED combination brake/tail light, seperate LED amber turn arrow and halogen back-up light. There is also a small Wheeled Coach emblem at the top that lights up red when turned on. You can always spec the old style tail lights if you don't like these. For me personally, it took some getting used to but the more I see them the more I like them....
