Some nice oldies there The fort lee snorkel for sure and the west new york Tiller bring back some good memories WNY also runs a howe pumper out of engine 4 right around the block from where i lived for 4 years the Forl lee snorkel was legend in east bergen area they ran 3 aerial pieces truck 1 was alf mid ship & truck 2 was mack CF scope

One more thing, the apparatus of Rockaway Township's five companies are all marked either as Rockaway Township Fire Department or RTFD with the names being HIbernia, Mount Hope, Marcella, Birchwood and White Meadow Lake. There is a sixth company, Green Pond, that operates indepently of the RTFD. Picatinny Arsenal also has its own fire department but has a very active mutual aid agreement with not only RTFD but with other neighboring towns.

The first photo looks like a Type 80 which was introduced around 1940. It is not an E.

The re-tractor/tiller refurb looks like an Ahrens-Fox, particularly given the Dahill hoist, airtanks and compressor. The photo was taken at the Long Island City Mack Factory. I believe that Coopersburg's 1942 pumper was a rehab of an older Ford "AA"/Hale "Minuteman". Coopersburg also had a 1920's White/Hale, but my photo of that rig was taken in the late 1940's-1950's, eliminating it's use in the rehab. The '42 Mack was in service until Coopersburg purchased a Mack R-608F 750 gpm pumper apx. 1970.

1937-1950 was the years Mack E series were built.

Coopersburg Mack was a Factory photo. This was the only rig with the numbers it had. It may be a remount, commercial Mack.

I can not figure out why Mack would have this in the Fire Apparatus photos, if they did not build the whole truck.

Lakewood, NJ Hook & Ladder still has a 1955 Mack B/Maxim 75' midmount ladder. It was still in service until recently replaced by a new quint. According to the Lakewood NJ FD old website at [url="http://lakewoodfiredept.com"]http://lakewoodfiredept.com[/url] the TDA is a 1945 Mack with a 1930 Ahrens-Fox 75' ladder. A photo of the AF is on the website. FLJack.
