This photo is of Ladder 8, not 18. Ladder 18 was never assigned a 1991 Seagrave tiller. The photo was taken at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf on one of the famed Philadelphia bus trips of the 90's.

This photo is Engine 4 with their 1969 International/FTI rig. It was replaced by the 1971 Ward LaFrance shown in another post in May 1971 and reassigned to Engine 16. This piece was wrecked 9/12/1971 while assigned to Engine 16.

Frank,

The tractor is a 1913 Knox-Martin that was originally assigned to Truck 14. It was used to motorize their horse-drawn apparatus. The steamer is a 1907 Metropolitan 1st size that was assigned to Engine 11. The apparatus never operated in this tractor/steamer configuration. It was only used for parades. The steamer is currently on display at Fireman's Hall.

Thanks Jack. I want to Scan more of the Philly stuff, but I need time to do so.

I wish Gas was not $3.00 + a gallon, or I would not have a problem driving all over for photos!
