Here's one that Pete should recognize. He shot this one on his last trip up here! This truck is equipped with an unsynchronized transmission, so it doesn't get to see the light of day very often. Sadly, this truck hasn't responded to a call in quite some time. I'd run it first out...if I could find a driver for it! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

This truck might not look like this for much longer. Myself, Micah, Dave, Dan and Pete shot it in Rock Hill, SC at the Seagrave Repair Facility. Weaverville shipped it there to get some work done on it, and they were debating removing the ladder off of it. Hopefully it will stay, this has to be a one of a kind rig!

Andrew, you ought to like this one - another Engine 23! The Lake Park, FL Fire Dept. doesn't exist any longer though. This one was a 1987 Boardman 1250/1500 Pumper. That's all, I won't hog your post this time. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

This 1967 Ford C/Boardman 750/1000 pumper for the Midland VFD in Allegany County,MD., was the only Boardman in Allegany Co. and possibly the only Boardman apparatus in Maryland. Since Midland is only 5 miles from my childhood home, I saw a lot of this rig in my youth. It was replaced in 1998 and I do not know of its disposition...

Somehow I just knew Steve would love this thread! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/luxhello.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Luxhello' />

I have shot about 40 Boardman apparatus which I'll post as soon as I wade through the Atlanta stuff.

And like Steve said, most are on Ford chassis!

Nice looking photos. Yes Boardman was an old company. Haven't seen one in years.

Steve, ok how about posting those factory photos. I think everyone would love to see them. :-)
