Okay, getting back to the actual Atlanta fleet....



Engine 1 ran this 1976 Mack CF 1000/1000/100F. It was identical to Engine 4.

Rescue 1 ran this 1990 International/3-D rescue truck. Three more identical rigs arrived in 1991 and were assigned to Rescues 2, 9, and 15. Later, two of them became MedCom 1 and 2 when the Rescues were disbanded.

Ladder 2 currently is assigned this 2001 Spartan/Quality 105' AI. Ladder Companies 1, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 21 and 38 operate identical TDA's.

Previously, Ladder 2 was assigned this 1990 Spartan/Ladder Towers, Inc. 110' TDA. Ladder 1 operated its identical twin, with similar rigs of 1991 vintage assigned to Ladders 10, 38 and Yellow 16.

Rescue 2 and Rescue 8 once operated twin 1987 Ford F-800/Saulsbury rescue trucks. When the 1991 International/3-D's arrived, this one became Decon 1 and ran with Squad 5.

From 1973 to 1985, Engine 5 ran this 1973 Hendrickson 1871S/Pirsch 1000/500/50' Telesqurt. The company was disbanded in 1985, sending this rig to the reserve pool. When it was finally disposed of, it ended up in Virginia. Perhaps our Virginia members can give us more details.



When the new Station 5 was opened, around 1991, they were assigned the pumper shown above.

GSAR-6, a 2004 Rosenbauer (Spartan)/General Safety is one of ten rigs purchased by the State of Georgia and located in various FD's Statewide (6 in Metro Atlanta, 4 for the rest of the State). It responds from Station 8.

This is one of two 1973 Mack CF 75' Aerialscopes purchased by Atlanta. Originally assigned to Ladder 21, it was heavily damaged in an MVA and rebuilt. When Ladder 21 got their new ALF TDA in 1984, this rig was reassigned to Ladder 8, where it served until replaced in 1988.

Rescue 9 was assigned this 1984 Chevy/First Response rescue until it was replaced in 1991.
