Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here!
#1
Hi All,

I thought I would start a thread for everyone to post their aviation photos here. We are just starting the 2007 Airshow season so I think its a good time. The thread is certainly open to any kind of aviation. I look forward to seeing everyones photos and I'm sure others would be interested too! No limitation on when you took the photo.

Here's one I shot last season at Beverly MA Airport during an open house featuring three aircraft belonging to The Collings Foundation. This is the B-17 "Nine-O-Nine" during a very short period when the clouds broke as the sun was starting to go down for the day...

That's a great picture of the plane and I really like the sky and clouds above her.

Thank you. It was a very dreary day aside from the 5-10 mins that those clouds broke for a bit. I actually had an amazing experience that day watching the granddaughter of a B-24 gunner (now deceased) as she prepared for and took a ride of a lifetime in the very type aircraft her grandfather once flew in to defend freedom during WWII. Sometimes its the little things... ya know?

Guys, post whatever you have. Static or In-Flight. Military or Civil. Vintage or Modern.

I like this idea for a thread, hopefully there are other aviation buffs out there. Despite my love for anything aviation related, I realized while looking for pics for this thread that I have very few aviation pics.

Here are a few pics from when I was in Washingtion DC this year for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. These were parked on the Mall, I'm not sure what the event was for, I stumbled upon it when they were breaking it down.

Here is a Cobra, Apache, and a Huey. Anyone know who operates the Huey?

And a pic of me in a Cessna 172 during my 1st solo flight. The other pic is of me and an instructor in an ultralight.

I have never been bitten by the aviation bug, but I will share this shot I took while photographing the Stratton ANG FD last summer.

I have no idea what this is, but it was flying by so close, I couldn't resist.

As a bonus, about 20-25 laps into the race we were treated to a second fly-over, this time by 2 Apache helicopters.

Hey Scott, cool pics man.

You got yourself a USMC AH-1W Super Cobra. US Army AH-64A Apache, and I think the UH-1N Iroquois (nick named Huey) is run by Border Services... I think.
