Yellow 7 has been retired. It was a 1990 Spartan/Grumman 92' AerialCat platform.

From 1973 to 1990, this 1973 Mack CF 75' Aerialscope was assigned to Yellow 7. It was retained as a reserve rig until 1998 when it was donated to the City of Jonesboro, GA. The JFD refurbed it and repainted it, placing it in service in 1999. When the JFD was disbanded in 2005, the rig was sold off to parts unknown.
Heavy Rescue and Haz-Mat responses on the airport are handled by Squad 24, a 1993 Spartan/Hackney.
Last for now is Yellow 17's 1995 Freightliner FL-70/Hackney Mass Casualty Unit. It carries primarily backboards and body bags.

Finally, Yellow 13, the E\-One Titan, is still in reserve. As for the Jaguars, one of the K/R-40's is sitting in the shop, unknown status. The former Yellow 10 and Yellow 11(the 1994) K-15's are gone. The three remaining K-15's (Y-9 Y-12, and Y0!) are in reserve. All ten of the Strikers are in service. The two with Snozzles are ARFF 1 and ARFF 10.
When I shot this, it was Yellow 5, but it is now Engine 32. It's a 1999 Spartan/Quality 1500/500/60F. An almost identical rig was delivered to Yellow 6, now Engine 35, in 2002.
Yellow 15 operated this 1997 Spartan/Quality 1500/500. It's current assignment is Engine 24.
Yellow 6 operated this 1991 Spartan/Quality 1500/500/55' Readi-Tower from 1991-2002. It was replaced by the 2002 Spartan/Quality that is now Engine 35. The old Yellow 6 has been disposed of.
This 1990 Spartan/Quality 1500/500 first ran as Yellow 6 (Station 35), but was replaced there in 1991. It was then redesignated Yellow 15 and assigned to Station 24 until 1997. It was renamed Yellow 8 and moved to Station 40. Today, it was running as Engine 35 while the real E-35 was in the shop. Since there are currently no reserve pumpers, Engine 40 fills in as one when needed and Station 40 just doesn't have an engine that day.
There was another 1991 Spartan/Quality 1500/500 that was assigned to Yellow 5 from 1991-1999. It was slightly different from this one in that it had a small grille over each front wheelwell, like those on the Readi-Tower Y-6. It has also been disposed of.
This 1984 American LaFrance Century 1500/500 ran as Yellow 8 until it was retired in 1997. It sat around for a couple years and was then donated to the Jonesboro FD to join the former Yellow 7 Aerialscope. When the Jonesboro VFD was disbanded in 2005, it was returned to Atlanta, but I've lost track of it since.
Yellow 5 was assigned this 1982 Mack CF 1000/1000/100F until 1991. This pumper was also in service during the Olympics as Engine 63. It stayed around in reserve for a few years, then was auctioned off.
Here's my shot of the 1972 American LaFrance 1000 Series 1000/1000/55F. It responded from Station 24 from 1972-1982, then from Station 35 until it was replaced by the 1990 Spartan/Quality, then was a reserve for a year or two before being disposed of.
Yellow 14 was assigned this 1990 Ford/E-One 450/260 mini-pumper. It is a reserve piece now. A new mini-pumper, Engine 44, is now responding from Station 32, but I haven't shot it yet.
Last for tonight is Yellow 19, a 1992 Chevy 3500/Colet Cheetah 250/250 4x4. I believe this is also in reserve now.

This is a recent picture of old Fire Station 16 at 822 Marietta Street NW. This firehouse is currently for sale by Cushman & Wakefield for the cool price of 1 Million dollars. (If i only had a million dollars) This firehouse was in service from April 1,1915 til it was closed April 1, 1963 and relocated to 1048 Simpson Street NW. Unknown why but probably due to the size of apparatus and proximity to other firehouses. I hope and pray that whoever buys this firehouse will put it to good use and will retain the look of a firehouse.

A 1973 AFD roster shows Stations numbered 1-38. There were two on the Atlanta International Airport, 24 and 35 (It only took two gallons of paint to letter the 1972 Walter CB-3500!).
