I really appreciate all the pics and info that has been posted to this thread so far There were about 1500 Ultravision cabs built. I have plenty more, I hope you all do too! Some of these were taken 10-20 years ago and I don't have all the info on them. Any help will be great.
This may be a P85, not a P80. I recall there being a full walkway between the cab and pump panel, which leaves no room or the motor housing of the P80. Compare this with the next rig I post. The list shows #85-53 delivered to Erie, PA in 1975. Lawrence Park adjoins the City of Erie. Top-mounts were rare from Ward LaFrance!
Boston had some, Anne Arundel County, MD did too, even Detroit had one, but sedan cab Ambassadors are rare! This is the only one I've ever photographed.
The list shows six deliveries for Erie, PA. I don't think Erie had six, although they had some. The list doesn't show any deliveries for Kearsarge, West Ridge, or Lawrence Park, but they all had them. If anyone can sort this out, please jump in!
The list shows two rigs for Scottdale, 80-701, delivered 9/20/72 and 80-810, delivered 4/2/73. Anyone know which one this is and what the other one was? This will conclude my posts until I return from Roadtrip 2006 in August. If our paths should cross, I hope we recognize each other! Upon my return, I will pick up where I left off, unless you folks have posted them all. I thank all of you for your help on this, the database is growing nicely.
