[quote name='GA_Dave' post='9855' date='Jul 15 2006, 18:08 ']I really appreciate all the pics and info that has been posted to this thread so far There were about 1500 Ultravision cabs built. I have plenty more, I hope you all do too! Some of these were taken 10-20 years ago and I don't have all the info on them. Any help will be great.

Dave,
Original owner was Dunn Loring, Virginia in Fairfax County. I will be posting a photo of the WLF's at Dunn Loring shortly.
Dunn Loring, Virginia's second WLF was rehabed in 1983 by Pierce and kept by Dunn Loring until 1994 when it was sold - unknown who received it after it left Dunn Loring.
Bailey's Cross Roads, Virginia (also in Fairfax County) operated a 1969 WLF 1500/500. It was sold to Panama Fire Apparatus (broker) in Florida in 1982.
Alexandria, Virginia's Wagon 57 was this 1976 WLF 1250/500. I have in my records that it is serial number 80-1339 and sold to Panama Fire Apparatus (broker) in Florida. It ultimately ended up in Hallsboro, NC.
Also in Alexandria, Virginia was this 1978 WLF/Maxim 100' tiller that ran much of its career as Truck 55 and then spent time as a reserve truck. This photo was taken at the Alexandria FD shops in 1998 when it was a reserve.
Thanks, Mike! The second Dunn Loring Ambassador was sold to Susan Moore, AL. They traded it in on a newer used rig last fall and it was at Brindlee Mountain.

Thanks Dave.....always wondered where that piece ended up. Is it still painted the yellow and white?
The Dunn Loring/Susan Moore rig is still the same color. I'll post a shot of it when I get back from vacation.
Quote:there not the same rig look close there are major diffrences
There are? I see chrome wheel covers and front fenderettes and the siren speaker has been replaced by a Q2B. The homemade crosslays are gone and the hosebed extensions have been removed. The grab bar on the back has been changed and spotlights added. None of those are major changes. Now look at the details that are the same:
Marker lights and reflectors
Reflective striping
Front warning lights and turn signals
Treadplate trim on bottom edge of compartments
Pump panel layout
Axe holder
Small white (shoreline plug?) circle above axe handle is just visible behind grab handle on NAFA rig
