Was this truck and another similar to it donated to departments in the South after Hurricane Katrina?

Yes, T31 from Darnestown and T29 from Germantown were donated to New Orleans. T31 was the better out of the two.

1991 also marked the 50th anniversary of the Hillandale VFD, the following posts are of some of the rigs present for the occasion.

1st rig is from the now-closed Naval Surface Weapons Center in White Oak,MD., a 1990 Pierce Arrow 1000/500 with 55' Telesqurt, then known as Telesquirt 55.

A classic Hahn from Burtonsville, this 1972 1250/500 model was rehabed in 1987 and is now privately owned.

Ok,

Yet again with nothing better to do I went on a photo trip. I decided I needed to catch up on some Montgomery County apparatus so thus I headed their.

My first "Planned" Stop was station 24. But I never found it so I stopped at 7-11 bought a Montgomery County map for $13 and headed to Station 25.

First up is:

E251

This next rig I thought was the HAZMAT SUPPORT UNIT. But from listening to the guys at Sta 25 speak it apparently holds more then just that, and still kind of unsure why it was at 25.

From station 18 I went down the street and around the corner to station 21 which had lots of apparatus I would of loved to shoot but had a hard enough time getting this moved.
