Ladder 23 was possibly a unique rig. I think it was the only WLF snorkel that Houston had. It was a 1967 WLF- Hi-Ranger, 75 ft low profile cab. This snorkel started out running out of Station 1 as Unit 501, later was moved to 23's, where I photographed it in July 1982.

Love the air pack holders and B&M's what a cool sound. Leawood Kansas has one on Truck 2 it came off their 1974 ALF.

I photographed Eng. 34 on the fly. I had just gotten out of my car to photograph their rigs and was only able to get this shot of it before they had another run come in. This was a 1967 WLF, 1000-500. Photographed in July 1982.
Eng. 59 was photographed at a school parking lot drilling with several other companies. There's is a 1967 WLF, 1000-300 rig.
Eng. 64 was housed at Station 63 for a time. They had a 1967 WLF, 1000-300 rig.
Ladder 65 was given the refurbished Ex.- Ladder 34( 1971 WLF, 75 ft) when there station first opened out by Lake Houston.
Station 67 was another dual WLF station. Eng. 67 had a 1970 WLF, 1000-500 rig.
