Moving on, this I think is a chief's car, Chevy Chase FD has been an all-paid dept. since the mid-50's.

The 1975 Dodge W-300 Power Wagon/Ansul Magnum unit carried 450# Purple K and 100 gal. AFFF. After about 25 years in Montco, it was sold to the Carroll Manor VFD in Frederick County, MD., where it was refurbished into a distinctive brush truck that then served until last year.

Does anyone know if that Foam Support Unit trailer still around? Is it the current Haz-Mat Support Unit 28?

The last time I saw it, it was at st 7. No it is not SU 28, that went to 25.
A large part of my collection was purchased from a GOOD man, John Floyd. I give him FULL credit on his work, although I may miss something. Thanks John. Also Scott Mattson, Warren Jenkins, Michael Schwartzberg, and Mike Sanders. Thanks Guys.

TRK.29, a 1986 Seagrave 100' rear-mount, also lettered for Hyattstown. Both of these county-owned rigs conveyed to the new GVFD organization in 10/89, and the 2 rigs were relettered.

One of the most unusual apparatus ever used in Montgomery County was this 1967 Chev. T-series/American ?/? with a 54' Squrt boom, the only one ever used by a Montco. FD; although the Federal depts. had a couple of Telesqurts. Anyone have more info on this unit?

There was a lenghty discussion on this piece on TWD. At one time it was called Special Unit 10.

In 1941, the new Hillandale VFD was loaned this barn by a local seminary, and housed their 1st 2 rigs here until 1946.

The Hillandale VFD had a few American LaFrance pumpers, from the 50's, 60's, and up to an 81 Century. This is one of the 1962 900-series 750/500 engines, as delivered in all-red.
