07-31-07 Full Moon - shot trying to stay awake during a 14 hour shift at work. I shot both with the Sony H-1 (EVF aka point and shoot) and the Canon Rebel XT (DSLR) and the Sony blew the Rebel out of the water. As I understand getting even a good shot (I'd call this one somewhere between okay and good) of the moon is difficulty.

As much grief that work creates for me at times my 2 favorite times of day is when I get there and when I leave because I am often greeted by an army of foo-foos. If you don't know what a foo-foo is just ask Harvey, although he might refer to them as hookas.

This youngster was hanging out when I showed up for an OT on 07-05-07

From a year ago yesterday it took most of our afternoon on Martha's Vineyard to drive all the way out to this lighthouse on Aquinnah, MA. I did this up as a poster for a friend's father Xmas present and it was very well received.

I think I can add a few scenic shots... In June/July of 2001 my wife decided to take me on a "vacation". We went to Nepal and hiked over 120 miles to the base camp of Mt. Everest, not exactly my idea of a vacation, but it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. This 1st pic is of Mt. Everest, (the peak just to the left of center).

I was surprised at how green it was on the way up to base camp. If you look closely in this pic, there are small yellow and purple flowers in front of the yak.

This is at the base of the Khumbu glacier. The stone pillars are memorials to climbers that died on Mt. Everest.
