I am not as dedicated (or crazy) as John and Paul (Cloquet in January??? Ouch!) but I did do shoot Lake Johanna's newest rig on Monday, February 16th.

I will post more pictures of this rig in the Lake Johanna thread.

Ladder 4

2007 Rosenbauer General Division

68' Roadrunner Box Boom Aerial

1500 Darley PSD 1500 pump

700 gal H2O

Spartan MFD 10" Chassis

You will recognize this as the demo that Rosenbauer was shopping around in its 2007 and 2008 Tech Drive.

Here is the other side.....I kind of like this shot.

Oh it is a rear mount pump that is why they could get a 700 gal tank on this rig.

Good looking rig! Does it have fairly low mileage on it as a demo?

On the pump, yes low milage, the chassis is another story. It was seen a few times on the east coast at shows....do a search and you will see it appear in several threads from shows in 07 and 08 that were then posted here on firepics.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that the apparatus had been around for awhile. Looks like a good purchase. Were there many modifications that your department needed before deciding to purchase? Thanks again. -Dave Young

Dave, I am on the city council for one of the three cities that is served by Lake Johanna and was our cities rep on the board of directors last year when we purchased the rig. I do not have a complete list of modifications but there were about $50,000 worth.

Sounds good and thanks for the answer. I like the apparent versatility of the unit.

I'm kind of sad to see they stripped the chevrons off the front bumper and replaced it with chrome. That was something we really liked on the truck when it visited our station.

There used to be two of these, but I always seem to get the same one in front of my camera. I don't know if the other one is still in the fleet.

This picture shows you the lengths that we will go thru to get you these pictures. We stopped at the empty station and found one truck filling the tank. The FF said follow me, and we did all the way to the Hog Barn fire. Can you say Bacon?
