Same here, we had to sign a waiver to let the truck leave without striping. But, that is how we prefer it!

Man, you MD/VA guys don't miss a beat! Is there a satellite office/lounge for buffs at the dealers up there? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fireman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Fireman' />

Down here, the rigs are in service before I can get to them.

I have a variety of contacts with some dealers or larger FD's where I can get photos right when it is delivered. I have found, however, that often times the truck is missing insignia's, hose, or other equipment that get added at a later time or when the apparatus is delivered to the station. Not saying it is a bad thing to have those contacts, but I have found myself wishing I had waited on some photos.

The Leesburg tiller is the exception - it appears it is ready with both lettering, striping, tools, etc.

I don't know where it went and the gentleman doing the lettering had no idea as well.

I have been to FESCO because we are getting two vehicles outfitted by them. Other then that I wouldn't be there! LoL! I will be heading to Delmarva Pump Center in a couple weeks as our new Brush unit is being built by them. I hope to get some photos while there as well.

In regards to the roto-ray, it appears the entire mount has been removed from behind the grill. I meant to ask the salesman that is handling our sale what the deal was but it slipped my mind!

When this was in wildwood, my father thought it was hand painted flame graphics LOL. That was til I looked at it for 5 seconds and saw the layering of decal, LOL.

It's a roomy little rescue though.

Here is some updated information on the new Seagrave tiller plus other news

New Seagrave tiller

Should arrive in Leesburg in about 2 weeks. In service date expected sometime in December.

The Seagrave will have a Roto-Ray. One was on there and was removed because it needs to be re-positioned.

An insignia will be placed on the rear of the tiller celebrating 145 years of service to the community.

The FD is working out with the county how the Seagrave will be dispatched on entrapment calls. It carries extrication equipment. Leesburg's E\-One Rescue Engine was sold.

Leesburg has been contacted by at least four other FD's for their specs on the new tiller.

Other Leesburg Ladder trucks

The 110' E\-One ladder has had major motor problems and has been at ITE in Hagerstown, MD to get these problems resolved. It should be back in the very near future and will be placed back into service as Truck 1.

The Seagrave Concorde rearmount aerial that is a Seagrave loaner (ex- Baltimore City) will be returned to Seagrave once the E\-One is back.

Reserve Truck 1, the Seagrave tiller used for training by Leesburg - dispostition unknown at this time. Decisions have not yet been made on what will happen to this truck once the new Seagrave tiller is in service. Reserve Truck 1 previously served Richmond, VA and Washington D.C.

Other Leesburg apparatus news

The two new Seagrave engines should leave Seagrave in about 2 weeks. They are also black over red and look great.

Once these go into service, the FD will sell their older Pierce.

Thanks,
