Approx. 300 miles to the southeast of Dallas near the Louisiana border along I-10 is the small city of Beaumont, pop. 120,000. It is one of 3 cities which form the "Golden Triangle". The other two cities being Port Arthur and Orange. This first rig is at the Texas Fire Museum in Beaumont which is the old Central Staion. It is a 1925 ALF, 750/125. The kind gengtleman who pulled it out for me told me that the ALF company offered them 2 brand new engines for but the offered was politely declined. He also said this old gal could still pump.
