I realised that I had not posted this before in this part of the board, while there are photos of it in the Crown thread. This is the "Johnson Family" Crown Firecoach, #F1627. She is a 1970 Crown Pumper that was originally purchased by the Live Oak Fire Department in Santa Cruz County, CA. The department ultimately become Central Fire Protection [Santa Cruz County], and was then sold to the Felton Fire Department. She is in remarkably good shape for being a 37 year old truck and seems to be mechanically sound. She was driven across country [2885 miles] from Northern CA to Northern NJ where she now resides.

[/quote] Surely you have more pics than that <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Good to see that rig in this section. We Crown guys got to stick together!!!!!
And... the picture my brother took with his cell phone to make me really jealous that I wasn't able to go check the rig out with them.

After a winter inside, the Crown did a tune-up run in the local 4th of July parade in Sparta, NJ, where the truck is stored. This past weekend we took it to the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore. We decided at the last minute to be judged and to our surprise took home the "Best Appearing Privately Owned Apparatus, 1970-79. Here are a couple photos of the truck being kept overnight in Sterling, VA at their Potomac Falls station. Thanks to the SVFD, who let us store the truck inside their station overnight.
I will try to add some additional photos as I get them. Unfortunately, taking part in the parade and events, I didn't get to take too many photos, but my sister-in-law did.
Next trip for the Crown is Florida <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Sounds good to me, we just have that much in the way of musters here in Fla like in the NE. I am working on trying to get the 'squrt to the firehouse expo in Orlando in October.
After finally getting some water in the tank, we got F1627 pumping in the back yard over the weekend after it participated in a local parade in Sussex, NJ. Here, my daughter is playing with the reel line with the assistance of her grandfather. Please note, she has her own fire boots on. Sorry for the poor photo quality, my digital camera seemed to be acting up that day.
Excellent pic, looks like they are both having a good time !!!
A recent shot from a couple weeks ago waiting in the parade lineup in Sussex, NJ for a local NJ fire fighters parade. Sorry for the poor photo, was having some issues with the camera that weekend.
Here's the other side. Too much glare and I think some smudges on the lens.
Some time next year we got to get together. That is one nice looking pumper !!
