On 9/18/07 I had the CF-700 paired with the Semi-Open Cab at the Airmans Home just a short jaunt from my residence. All my techs were busy on the road doing other events so I was a one man crew with 2 fire engines to drive so this ment I drove one over then went home and picked up the other. Anyways the Cumberland Engine brought home the Class Award for this event. This photo taken by a friend for me. The event is a fund raiser for the DC firefighters Burn Foundation and put on by the DCFD IAFF Local 36.

On 10/14/2007 I made the 214 mile (4.5 Hour drive) trip to Philiadelphia for the muster that was held at the City Fire Training Academy. Arriving at 0955hrs for the 1000 show start time. 5 minutes after arriving the Shamrock Judges were judging the rig not giving me a chance get the 200+ miles of morning dew, Bugs and road grime none the less getting the tires shined or getting a nice shine on the brass deck gun. I tried to approach the "DEAF" Judges (No Owner Contact) and was ignored. With this said and rigs that arrived 1-2 hours arriving before me being judged at noon NO AWARDS were won. However, considering I had an AWESOME time and I was parked in a nice spot with a great deal of spectators!!!!

October 18th brought new front tires for the rig. The "OLD" Good Year BIAS ply tires were starting to show an extreem in the age. The "NEW" Tires are Good Year's G-149 RSA Tube-Type Radials. The new tires have improved the ride 2 FOLD. The place that did the tire work reported that they had been on in excess of 15 years (I am thinking I saw a date code of 1984) and had to be CUT off of the rim as they had self welded to it.

On October 20th the good old dog wanted to try out her new front paws and went to the Long Branch Ballon and Wine Festival in Millwood, VA. It was a very fine and fun day however the Hot Air Ballons did not fly because of toooooo much wind.

This was originally delivered with Kelly-Springfield truck tires, as Kelly then had a plant in Cumberland.

Adding some hardware to the trophy case is nice, but having a great time is definitely more important. I'm glad to hear that little incident with the judges didn't keep you from enjoying the event for what it was. Keep up the nice work! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

And I might add, that the Philly muster gets better every year. I would have driven the 74, but circumstances did not allow for that this time...
