Well, I guess now I know why Unionville's "new" engine was OOS for a while. Looks nice in it's new livery.

Love the Empire State rigs, nothings the same![/quote] Keith, it is funny.. I have wondered that myself... at first I thought "The Commish" was Rob Bogardus.... than I thought he was Larry Phillips.... it is a mystery *cue suspensful music* we may never know The Commish's real identity!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The Commish I believe is Don Feipel from Illinois, who I am guessing trades photos with Ron Bogardus and that is why you see so many of Ron's photos in The Commish's posts. I don't believe Ron is a member of Firepics. Speaking of, one of my friends trades photos with Ron and hasn't heard from him in a while, anyone know if he is okay or his whereabouts? For those of you who know Ron, he is quite 'prompt' with trading photos and likes to make sure that you are as well.
Last I heard, Ron was in the process of moving from NY to Florida. He may be a while getting unpacked and settled in.
To confirm, "The Commish" is indeed Don Feipel. He trades with several photogs and always gives proper photo credit when he posts their stuff.
Ron is a close friend of mine and is on here as Tankerguy. He seldom posts or even gets on here lately, but I can assure you that you will soon see more of him. He is unpacked and settled in FL and has already shot everything within 50 miles of his house... Wow.
Anyway, I will let him know you guys are curious next time I talk to him. Stay safe.

I'm guessing it's the west coast as I think FDNY 10-75 has posted some of his photos on this site from the Ft. Myers area. I'm sad to hear he isn't in NY anymore, he sure did get around and it was great to see some of his upstate apparatus photos thanks to The Commish.
He is in Naples, and returns to NY in the spring/summer time. I've got NY covered for him when he's not here.
