F.D.N.Y.
Just an FYI:

The Ladder 58 photo with the Vacant came from a entire series of photos posted on Nycfire.net

It was part of a turn back the clock weekend, you view them if you go over to the site.

And people wonder why we watermark photos even when everyone complains about it.

Hummm its water marked AND Marc Gave credit to Joe for the photo in his entry... Dont think his intention was bad.

No Marc's intention was not bad. I was just trying to prove a point of how easy photos get bounced around. There had been many heated debates about water marking photos. I just wanted to point out the reason it's done. Had the watermark not been there, I am sure there's a good chance that the photo would have been posted some place without the credit to Joe

I'll be interested to know how well the Pierce holds up compared to the (from what I've heard POS) E\-One/Saulsbury's.

I believe it's better known as "Esprit de Corps" and I'd be more concerned if they didn't feel like they were better then the other Rescue Companies.

I think your on a tough subject. I do agree with the Brothers getting made ,but my experience is that FDNY does a great job at this and I think this is not done matter of factly in a lot of places. The way guys get made these days is a crap shoot. The concept of earning it and getting made , at least in my job (Lynn,Mass FD) are far apart. We have a Dept Chief who was NUMBER #3 on the promotional list and who will at least be acting chief of dept!!!!

so hats off to FDNY for again doing something right.. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_12_21.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='3_12_21' />
