Massachusetts Fire Apparatus
Note that Weymouth has returned the historic company names to their last several purchases, and Ladder 2 is no exception. "Eureka" above the doors.

Quote:The treat at this station was thier other tanker, it is the only tandem axle, ellipitcal tanker Maxim ever made. Sadly they just purchased a third ambulance so they have no where to store this piece, so it sits outside and is out of service (I wanted to weep when I was told this). This piece and the 1981 International/Continental will be going up for sale in about a year (Wouldn't this look GREAT in your driveway Howie?!! LOL). So without further adue.... I present the crown jewel of my trip!!

It would look good in the driveway, but the wife said absolutely not! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

Lad11der... I ment I can't find the shots I have of it when it was "new".. I have them some place.. with the awning out and the light tower up...and some of the 4 hour rebreathers in the back compartment and shots of the other compartments too... The second compartment from the cab now has a 6 bottle Maco Cascade in it...takes up the whole compartment..from one side of the body to the other. The pull out in the rear....once used to store the re breathers.. now has hangers for air bottles...

And the awning has been removed... I think this was done so it wasn't remove by a tree, sign, light pole...side of the station...

Here are a couple shots I took a few years ago now in Woburn. These were origionally taken with my 35mm with 400 ISO film to get that "archived" look. Last night I had to set up the digital and shoot the print because my scanned doesn't work with vista <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />

First up is former Engine 4, which was reassigned to Engine 5.

Finally, here is an "artistic" shot of the front of Ladder 1.

I found a patch online for my scanner that makes it work with Vista. Maybe there is something available for your model. I've had problems with a number of programs that won't work with Vista and the company decided to just make you buy the latest version at full price.

John,

I looked for a patch, but there isn't one and there isn't a plan to make one. Oh well, I guess that's a good reason to head back out and get some new photos, or a new scanner.
