This 1939 ALF JOX 65' ladder was used as a rolling billboard by Red Baron's Antiques in Sandy Springs, GA in the late 1980's. It was x-Allegheny, NY and possibly x-Olean, NY.

At one time, the Post VFD of Fort Oglethorpe, GA operated from 11 stations in both Catoosa and Walker Counties and even covered portions of Tennessee. In the late 1980's, they purchased a large group of refurbished apparatus from Panama Fire Apparatus (Panama City, FL). Engine 5 was assigned this ALF Pioneer III 1250/550. Several years later, around 1998, the Walker County FD was formed, reducing the Post VFD to three stations. It's unknown where this rig originally came from or where it ended up.

I might have the unpopular opinion about this, but this thread was a lot better (and more organized) when the original 700 Series topic that I started was a separate thread. I realize the moderators are trying to consolidate in order to save space, but still ... Sorry. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

Hey Trina, does Bruce still own this beauty, and any idea if he'll be bringing it to the Muster this year? I'd like to get a better shot of it if I can.
