OOPS!! My bad. I forgot about that one. That might have been when the Imperial/Grove went out for it's 3rd rehab.

I believe that Maxim was used when Owings Mills had the '74 Imperial rehabbed the second time around. The last time they used the open cab Seagrave pumper I mentioned earlier. To be honest, they had that Imperial rehabbed so many times and each time purchased a second hand rig to operate in the intrim, that I lost track, so I forgot about the '66 maxim rig as well.

The 66 Maxim originally was Harmonville,PA., then Owings Mills, in 1992 it went to Rock Hall,MD. in Kent Co. - is it still there?

This is the 1961 K-model 1000/300, refurbed in 1981 by Interstate Truck in Hagerstown,MD (DD 8V71, air brakes/horns, widened jump seats). It was E 16-12, and was sold to a private owner in 1996. Here it is, as original, in this great old slide by Joel Woods.
This was Frostburg E 16-11, the 1973 P-model 1000/500, in another great slide by Mr. Woods
In 1990, Bruco put on a new body from pump panel back, and the open cab was enclosed rather uniquely.

In 1996, the rebuilt 73/90 Seagrave/Bruco was sold to Confluence,PA. in Somerset Co., where it served almost 10 years, it is now in a local "salvage yard".

Oh yeah, unfortunately it's still there and looks silly sitting in their multi million dollar station (in a town of 500 people!) but like every other thing in Rock Hall, there is no explanation.

Thanks for the confirmation, but the 2000 census lists Rock Hall's population as 2,321. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Thanks Doc for the corrections. I have made them to my lists. Sorry for the mis-id's. Even though I have lived in MD for only 36 years now, I have been to Frostburg only once. I got my info from the guys on the engine. Thanks again.
To really confuse things, FFD had a 3rd Seagrave open-cab engine, a 1960 K-model 1000/300 bought from Takoma Park,MD. in 1977. It lasted until 1988, and then died a slow death by neglect.
