What was replaced? Is Rosemont still Public Safety? Yes the PUC's are tall, nice but a little tall for my taste. We have one in the KC metro and the hose bed is really not that low. Also I really did not see that they gained space, although the Matty Dale's are low for a quick grab. Great photos, they look sharp.

Rosemont is still public safety. They have PSO's that are permanently assingned to the fire side or police side. They can transfer or work overtime on either side. The EMS is a contract company that is stationed in the station. They replaced the snorkel and one of the Eone engines.

I'm glad to see orland go with the tower! I remember when they had the old tower and the old snorkle. At that time they where one of first departments to have both. Does any one have photo's?

Here's the snorkel as of last month. It just went thru somewhat of a refurb job. From what I have been told, it's going to be used for public relations events, parades etc. It will not be placed into any sort of active service.

I was able to grab a quick shot of Burbank's new rearmount aerial today. It would have been a perfect shot, but it clouded over about 10-15 minutes before I arrived. This replaces a 1970s (??) vintage Sutphen midmount tower.
