Please tell me you're willing to stop in NC for a few minutes and let me shoot the old gal on your trip home with her? I've wanted to go shoot this truck forever. Gary (dispachrg) discovered this rig years ago and has it posted on his picasa page.

I know this isn't a perfect pic, but where it was wedged in, I did good to get this pic... It was surrounded by a small pond of water in a ditch on one side, a garage on one side, large containers of used oil in the front, and two vending trailers in the rear.

I went to Atlanta this past weekend for a wedding and went out and about Saturday morning and low and behold I found a truck from North Carolina. It was sitting at a Chick Fil A near Cobb County FD Station 19.

I found two old trucks on the way home from the trip to Spartanburg on Tuesday evening. The first is sitting off I-26 north of Spartanburg. It is sitting at the back of a fenced in lot behind a gas station. I had to zoom the camera a good bit to get the picture.

The other is sitting on Highway 11 near Campabello. It is an old Maxim that I believe is from Marion, NC.

Nice folks that own this truck too! Whatever they were cooking the day we stopped by would knock your nose off! It smelled amazing! Too bad Fritz got stung while we were shooting this truck, hopefully he's forgiven me by now, hahaha!!

In 1971, Pierce joined forces with Partner Industries to provide the U.S. Air Force with 71 P-10 rescue trucks. It took several years to fill the order and not all the chassis used were the same model years. Pierce also offered add-ons to this contract to civilian FD's, with many more being built to the same specs. Dodge used this grille in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Obviously, this one has had a skid unit added to the body.

Awww Dave you beat me to it. I thought I recognized that ride <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> That P-10 body seemed to have a longer life span than the Dodge pickup. I remember seeing that style body used back in the late sixties then thru the legacy dodge pickups (71-93)

One of my neighboring companies has one of these, and I could never find out who made the body on it. So Pierce made the body ?

Many thanks,
