It is with great sadness that I show you these photos. These were once proud Bulldogs. Screaming up & down the streets of Philly. They now sit in the parking lot of the Persia, TN fire department, used solely as parts trucks.
Philadelphia, PA "760190"
1976 Mack CF611F
1000/500 (apparently once had a 75' 'Scope, but was refurbed in 1986???)
This one really isn't a relic, as it's at a farm tractor lot for sale. Can anybody tell me more about this truck? Bill F's database lists it going to Falmouth, MA. Their website has no record of ever owning a 1979 Maxim. Plus, this truck had lime green paint underneath a fresh new coat of red paint. Howie, please come save the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one big difference that I see is that this rig has a Federal "Model 28" Siren mounted on the front. The rest of these rigs had Federal Q's mounted on them.
The only MARC in 46 ENGINE!

Thanks Mike. I knew this was not a Scope but thought MAYBE it was the Squrt. Thanks for the shop # too.

Thanks for the help guys!! The info I got about it possibly being an ex-Scope came from Bill F's Mack CF database. I knew it didn't look like an ex-Scope for sure! But anyhow, Persia, TN owns TWO Mack CF engines. Unfortunately, they were both at the Chief's house when I visited Saturday evening. But I've got plans to go back to the area on my next free weekend, and they said the chief would be more than happy to let me look at them, if I could catch him at home. I'll post all the cool trucks I've shot in a thread here in a little bit!

Here is a photo of Philadelphia Engine 72 with the 1977 Mack CF/Squirt 1000/500, Mack #CF685F10-1905, PFD shop #775264.

Here is "760190" in better days running as Philadelphia FD Engine 18 (formerly assigned to Engine 6), taken in 1979.
Thanks for sharing the photos Steve!! I wonder why it has a Federal Model 28 siren in the nose instead of the Q like your photo? I sure hate to see the truck in its current state...
[quote name='Shoe' post='162736' date='Nov 12 2007, 09:51 ']This 1957 Chevy is still the property of it's original owner, the Village of Yorkville Fire Department. It is a very unique piece. Unfortunately is it parked in a city garage across the street from the fire station in Yorkville, Ohio. It's tires are flat and the paint is fading. It is a Chevy panel van with a 500GPM (or possibly 250GPM) front mount pump. It has a 100 gal. booster tank behind the driver seat. If you notice behind the drivers door, there is a hole with hose rollers where the booster line pokes through. There is a Santa Rosa nozzle holding the hose in place in the hole. I believe it was built by Sutphen. As far as I know, there are only two other rigs like this to have been built. One went to Piedmont, Ohio and the other to Wolfhurst, (Blaine) Ohio. The Wolfhurst rig did not have the booster tank and reel. The color schemes on all three rigs are the same. I had heard that this rig had been used as an ambulance at one point, but I don't think that is correct. The interior appears to be set up for equipment rather than for comfort. Any input welcome... Here is the rig that Moorefield Twp. in Piedmont had (or still has)
Chincoteague, Virginia's 1975 International/Ward LaFrance 1000gpm with serial number 73-104. Sitting for sale in a side yard of a home near the road that takes you to the Wallops NASA facility.
I recall the For Sale sign saying it is for sale for $2,500 (approximately - I cannot remember the exact amount) or a trade for a motorcycle.

Thats a nice rig. Are they selling it or is there just no room in the station?
