Here is a picture of Central Square's 62 Chevy/American tanker, off loading water at a fire in Mallory NY. It is from the mid 70's, boy do we do things different now. Notice they are using a duece and a half hard suction for water suppy of our 72 Chevy Sanford and running 2-inch and a half lines.
I found some old pics from my fire department dating back to 1974-76ish. I have little to no details on these so if anyone can help let me know. Unknown photographer
First up is a 1952? Dodge that ran as Sodus Center E 30

I'll look around and see if any of the old Wayne county inventories still exist at the firehouse. I know I ran across the original county inventory from the 1950's once. I have the next couple days off and I'll have some time to nose around.

Larry how bout some pics of the older West Walworth stuff ?? Hopefully you may have some pics of some of their old rigs floating around. I have some pics, but can't scan them right now, but as soon as I get my other puter hooked up for scanning purposes, I'll try to get mine scanned in.
Here are a few classics. The Ford/? engine is a Ex-Constantia unit 842 that was bought used, I not sure who from. The other two rigs belong to West Monroe, The stepvan was theuir first rescue truck Unit #3361, built on a Ford chassis, The Dodge M37 is still in service with West Monroe as unit 3371.
Here is a 20's Ford/Howe pumper with a somewhat cloudy past. Not sure if it served in New York before its trip to a department in Florida, Anyways, it was brought to NY in the 60's and as markings on equipment from departments in the Finger Lakes area of NY. Shot at the Wampsville Car show in 08.
