Round Rock, TX Fire Department
#1
Round Rock, TX is a city just north of Austin, TX (State Capital). Round Rock may sound familiar to many of you because it is the headquarters of Dell Computer. Round Rock FD is technically a Combo FD, but it is majority career. Round Rock is rapidly growing, and I'm sure you'll see a lot of expansion over the next few years. Williamson County EMS handles all EMS in Round Rock.

I'm just learning, so bear with me on the specs. I'm sure txfirephoto, A/TCEMS, or one of the many other members can help me out.

First up is Quint 3, covering the busy and rapidly growing La Frontera neighborhood from Station 3, which houses Quint 3, Rescue, and a Williamson County ALS unit.

Also responding from Station 3 is Round Rock's Rescue, a 2006 Ford F-450/Pierce Contender

From what I understand, this unit is located here due to the proximty to several major highways, including I-35.

Will a Yankee from up North be okay? The job # for the Quint is 19361. I am still looking for the Attack Unit. Thanks for posting these.

If memory serves me, Engine 2 is a '02 model. And unless they have 2 of them, the rig for Rescue 3 was formerly assigned as Rescue 4.

Corrections welcome.

My sister has been living in Round Rock for about 25 years now, here is a shot of RRFD Eng 6 when we went out to visit in 06. The firehouse is down the road from Dell Diamond, minor league home for the Round Rock Express baseball team.

Sharp looking quint! You don't see many NEW quints with flush roof cabs. This stands out from the rest. I like it!
