That's right. But I have seen several later built Ford C with Young bodywork, all with double headlights. Maybe a Young specialty ? Juergen

Additional info on the shots you posted: West Lancaster 1969 Ford C950/Barton-American, canopy cab, 1000/500, donated to Suedburg (Schulkill County) in 1994. Sold in 2001 to the Newtown Fire Company in Zerbe – Reilly Township (Schulkill County, PA). It was originally purchased through the Glen Culbert Company for $21,522. Landisville 1967 Ford C1000 Super Duty/Hahn, canopy cab, 1000/1000, model HS-10, delivered 9/26/67, carried foam & wet water, uncommon paint scheme-80% white. Folcroft 1960 Ford C-700/Gertenslager, full cab, semi-closed 15 ft custom walk-in rescue body, 5 KW generator, housed on 9/24/60 at a cost of $20,000, purchased by the borough, in 1976 it was sold to the Alert Fire Company-Emigsville (York County, PA). Bausman 1988 Ford C8000/Emergency One, canopy cab, custom enclosed walk-in cascade unit with nine 4500 PSI bottle cascade. It was retained when the two Lancaster township companies merged in 1991. Sold in 1996 through Northeast Fire Apparatus to the Glen Rock Fire Company (York County, PA). Rawlinsville 1976 Ford C900/Pierce Suburban, full cab, 1000/750, 534 CI gas LGW engine, automatic-rebuilt in 1990, 5 KW generator, sold in 1998 to a dealer in AL.

Ladder 1 in Garden City/Utah was a 1975 Ford C with bodywork from American. It was equipped with a 1000 gpm-pump, 500 gallons of water, and a rare American Aquajet 55' boom.
