Our mission is to protect the public health and the environment throughout Los Angeles County from accidental releases and improper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes through coordinated efforts of inspections, emergency response, enforcement, and site mitigation oversight.



Health Haz Mat are civilan haz mat tech's who are employed by the LA County Fire Dept.

Their responses are usually not Code3 (thats for the FD) and they aren't in a hurry to get to the scene of an incident so they have amber lightbars.

Does anyone know if Mobile Air 115 is getting a new unit like 129s? And if so, would that eliminate Light 25?

Both new and old Mobile Air 115 were at the event. MAU 115 (the White/Volvo) was still in service as I heard that the new rig hasn't been outfitted yet.
